The 2009/10 Vancouver Canucks began their 39th season in the Modern NHL and have gotten off to a grand start as they dusted themselves off from their devastating 6-2 series loss in the Western Conference Semi-finals against the Chicago Blackhawks.
After finishing in first place in the Northwest Division, the Canucks entered the NHL Playoffs against the LA Kings whom they defeated in six games. In the Conference semi-finals, the Canucks faced the Chicago Blackhawks, losing to them in six games.
